Moses sent twelve spies, one from each tribe of Israel, to explore the land of Canaan, where twelve spies scouted the Promised Land of Canaan. Ten of the spies brought back a disheartening report, stating that they saw giants called the Anakim and felt insignificant, declaring, "We seemed like grasshoppers in our own sight.
