In Many Other Countries Prisoners Are Executed Within Less Than A Month After They've Been Proven Guilty. It Makes No Sense At All To Me To Keep A Condemned Prisoner On Death Row For 50 Years. Its' Cruel Punishment For The Victims Family and It Shows Lack of Respect For The Victim.
Unless You Can Prove An Inmates Innocence After They've Been Tried and Convicted What Are We Doing Here? To Me It Feels As Though The US Justice System Enjoys Emotionally Punishing and Watching The Victims Family Linger On and Suffer While They Allow The Condemned Murderer To Eat, Breath and Live A Life For Decades.
In My Opinion That Is Disgusting and The Legal/Justice System Should Be Ashamed. Stop Accommodating Convicted Murderers and Start Respecting The Victims and Their Families. I'm Not Saying Execute Prisoners Right After Their Convictions YES, Give Them Ample Time To Plead Their Case After They've Been Convicted But After ONE , TWO Years Max That's It Put A CAP On The Appeals. Being On Death Row For 50 Years Is Sickening and Disgusting. They Allowed Him To Live 50 Years Longer Than His Victim. How Does That Make Sense? Other Than Bringing Closure To The Victims Family What Was The Point Of Sentencing Him To Death If You Allow Him To Live An Additional 50 Years, That In My Opinion Is Just Plain Stupid.
