11:35:32 AM EDT FD assistance is no longer required for the manhole fire. Ladder 2 remains on scene to manage traffic.

Firefighters rushed to 31st Ave & 21st St in Astoria on Sunday morning just before 8:30 after a manhole erupted in flames. No one was injured. Con Ed responded to the fire as well.
