This Era Sustains Confusion
The core suffering of the human condition is self~created: a byproduct of assuming a separate self exists and then building life around that assumption. The belief in “I” is not confirmed by thought ~ it’s created by it.
This error sustains confusion, conflict, and fear. When that belief is seen for what it is ~ an unexamined mental habit ~ the burden drops. What remains is not a new self, but the absence of the old illusion.
“The separate self is never actually found. It’s only ever presumed through identification with thoughts.”
~ Rupert Spira, Being Aware of Being Aware
“When you remove the idea of "me", fear and desire dissolve. Only peace remains.”
~ Adyashanti, The End of Your World
“There is no entity that is bound or liberated. That is the illusion.”
~ Ramesh Balsekar
“Freedom is the seeing that there was never anyone to be free.”
~ Tony Parsons
