Is there any evidence that the 1952 Flying Saucer sightings that led to a national alert and shoot-down orders by the Truman administration were spacecraft from a breakaway German colony in Antarctica?

Multiple 1952 news reports described the high maneuverability of the craft and the inability of the USAF to shoot them down (see attached Fort Worth Star-Telegram clipping).

None of the news reports raised the possibility that the craft could be German in origin. It was unthinkable at the time to question the outcome of WWII and no reputable news journalist/editor would have raised the possibility.

Yet, multiple contactees claim to have met German-speaking occupants of landed flying saucers relatively soon after the 1952 flyovers (e.g., Reinhold O. Schmidt).

One of the most persuasive cases involved a US Army Master-Sergeant Willard Wannall, who claims that a flying saucer with a Swastika and Iron Cross landed near Oahu in 1956, and the occupants emerged wearing uniforms adorned with Swastikas and Iron Crosses, and spoke German. Wannall submitted a 32 page report for the USAF, but never heard back from his debriefers. I wrote about the Wannall case in my book, Antarctica's Hidden History (2018, pp. 170-72).
