The Internet and The Cloud Is Not Perfect, Nothing Is Perfect. With That Thought In Mind To Assume You Will Always Have Access To The Games Your Hard Earned Money Purchased Is Just Plain Stupid.
When The Platforms That Store Your Purchased Products Crash or Shut Down There's Not A Damn Thing You Can Do But Sit, Wait And Hope The Company Fixes The Issue.
Once Service Is Restored and You Have Access To Your Account Ya Better Hope Like Hell ALL The Games You Purchased Are Still Visible In Your Game Library. If Not On Your End You Might Have To Locate Your Digital Receipts With Game Code(s) So You Can Download and Reinstall The Games That Went Missing When The Service Crashed.
Technology Is Cool and at This Point We ALL Have To Embrace Technology To Some Extent To Gain Access To Services/Products We Desire and Need. However When It Comes To Gaming Products I Feel ALL Gamers Should Be Offered The Option Of Some Sort Of Physical Backup.
No Company Should Ever Have CONTROL Over The Products That Gamers Purchase. Once You Buy A Game You Should Have Full Access To Playing That Game Any Time Without Having To Worry If You'll Be Able To Log Into Your Account To Play YOUR Games That You Purchased.
These Gaming Platforms Should Seriously Consider Going Back To Giving The Customer The Option Of Receiving A Physical Copy Of Their Purchased Games.
Also Many Of These Popular Games Can Not Be Played Without Internet Access. Again What Happens If/When The Internet Goes Down or They Decide To Shut Down Their Shit Wha'Cha Gonna Do Then?
I Am All For Embracing Technology, But With All This New Technology Comes A New Level Of Critical Thinking Skills That Sadly Many People No Longer Use Feel It Necessary To Use,
I Honestly Believe I Am One Of The Last Humans On Earth That Has An Alkaline Battery Operated 5 Inch Portable TV. I Purchased This Portable TV That Runs On 4 AA Batteries For Emergency Use, Just In Case There Is A Power Outage.
Sure I Have Other Devices I Can Use If The Power Goes Out. However My Other Devices Do NOT Use Alkaline Batteries, They Are All Equipped With A Rechargeable Lithium Battery.
The Operative Word Is What? 'RECHARGEABLE.' If There's A Power Outage Unless You Have A Secret Supply Of Energy Stored In Your A-- How The Phuck Are You Supposed To Re Charge Any Technology That Uses A Rechargeable Lithium Battery? Once Your Device Taps Out That's It, Your Shit Out Of Luck Until The Power Is Restored.
Now If You Have An Alkaline Battery Operated Device/Appliance You're Good To Go Because You Can Easily Stock Up and Store All Sizes Of Alkaline Batteries. When Your Emergency Device Konks Out Just Replace The Batteries, Ya Can't Do That With Devices That Have Non Removeable Lithium Batteries.
I Must Ask 'WTF Is The Point Of Having An Emergency Portable Radio, TV, Fan, Flash Light etc. If You Only Have 2-4 Hours Of Use Before The Lithium Battery Wears Out And You Can Not Recharge It Because You Have No Electricity?
Whether Yall' Understand This or Agree With Me Or Not The Evil Satanic Idiots Who Rule(d) America Purposely Stopped Selling Emergency Products That Use Alkaline Batteries Because In An Emergency They Want To Cause People As Much Stress and Worry As Possible.
Making Sure People Feel Relatively Safe And Comfortable During A Major Black Out That Can Last Anywhere From A Few Hours, Few Days, To A Week or More Is Not Their Concern, Keeping People Stressed, Scared, Uncomfortable, Anxious Is Their Concern. WHY? They Are Demons and They Literally Feed Off Of The Energy Our Fears and Negative Emotions Produce.
This Is Why Now More Than Ever Every Adult Human Should Stop, Think and Rely On Their 'Critical Thinking Skills.' Critical Thinkers Like Myself Learned How To Think Beyond Their BS So We're More Likely To Be Prepared Than Those Who Just Jump Into A Freezing Lake Without Thinking or Asking Questions.
Not Everything That Glistens Is Gold.
