This is a bug that people unknowingly eat nearly everyday. It's an insect called a "cochineal" and is used to color a large part of the dishes we eat regularly, from cold cuts to sodas, yoghurts, candies, crisps etc, but it's also a popular ingredient in cosmetics, particularly in lipsticks, blushes, and eyeshadows.
