Did You Know?

In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII changed the New Year from April 1st to January 1st.

But not everyone got the memo…

Some people kept celebrating on April 1st —

and they were mocked as “fools.”


That’s how April Fool’s Day was born!

A joke on those who followed the old ways.

Not everything silly started as a joke.
