Holistic wellness coach Barbara O’Neill warns against wearing synthetic fabrics such as nylon, acrylic and polyester. These are types of plastic made from petroleum-based chemicals and commonly used in women’s clothing.

Recommends choosing natural fibers for underwear, bedding and pillows. Natural fibers include cotton, wool, hemp and bamboo.
