Cursive Is A Super Ability Most Of Todays Kids Do Not Have
In Todays World Of Technology Many Children Are No Longer Being Taught How To Rely On And Utilize Their Own Natural Abilities Such as Writing Cursive. Cursive Writing Was Part Of Every Schools Curriculum When I Was A Child. If Nothing Else 'With Pen I Hand' Learning How To Write Cursive Gave Us The Knowledge of How To Concentrate and Utilize Our Brain Cells So We Could Sign Our Names To Important Documents.
In Todays World Children Are More or Less Taught That The Use Of SMART Phones and Technology Is The Only Tool They'll Need To Rely On. I Beg To Differ Because What Happens If/When That Technology Breaks Down? Will Kids and Adults Have The Wear With All To Utilize Their Critical Thinking Skills? I Don't Think So, Because As It Stands Now Both Children and Adults Seem Unable To Function Without Their SMART Phone Glued To The Palm Of Their Hand.
Have You Ever Observed A Childs Reaction When Someone Takes Away Their SMART Phone/Gaming Console/Tablet etc. Adults Are No Better Because Their Lives Are Literally Inside Their SMART Phones and They Have No Paper Back Up System and They Rely On Customer Service Systems Back Up Systems Technology To Restore The Information That Was Lost.
I Understand and Respect The Advancements In Technology and I Realize Technology Is The Future, But I Also Believe Humans Should Not Solely Rely On Technology But They Should Be Taught How To Rely On Their Own Instincts Critical Thinking Skills and Capabilities, Because Its' So Easy For Us To Toss Aside Our Roots and Forget Where We Started And How We Got Here.
In My Humble Opinion Cursive Writing Should Have Never Been Removed From The School Curriculum Because at Some Point In Our Lives We'll Have To Read an Article That Was Written In Cursive Or We'll Have To Pick Up A Pen And Sign Our Name Using.
